For a Lifetime

It's interesting to get into deep conversations with people. Joe and I have been friends for what? 8 years of my life? That's over half a lifetime. I know I'm not always a nice person, so we've gone through periods where we haven't talked in a while or periods where we talk all the time. I remember being in third grade and having something really exciting to tell him and calling him like four times til he picked up the phone. Church back in those days, was the best. After they left, we kind of went separate ways, but he always invited me to the birthday parties and such. I remember when he got his new cell phone and I kept trying to text him and it turned out it was in a box... cause it was orange and brand new. We got older with time and still didn't talk much, but somehow I ended up with him and Lewis seeing Narnia. Hmm, time goes on and last year we went to the movies with Alli and we were out like all night. It was cool. He made fun of my pink pants, just like everyone else does. So, year goes on and then for some reason 10th grade year seems to bring us closer than we've been in such a long time. He told me texting me was like breathing. It's out of habit. Hahahaha. Honestly, I can't believe he's been my friend for so long. I'm definitely not the nicest person, but for some reason he's stuck by my side and been there when I needed support. I couldn't ask for a better best friend. Seriously, he's got my back and he's earned his spot as my friend for life. ♥
